Dear Cordell
I am going to a new land on my waka and I have been paddling for a whole week. At night I use the stars to find the directions to the new land. I have 10 men on my waka with me so we have been going very fast. I am a bit scared sailing somewhere new because there might be people that want to fight us and dangerous animals.

I would like to be in a Waka Ama race because it look like a lot of fun. It is also good exercise and I would get very fit paddling the waka with my friends and family.

That's a great skill to be able to use the stars as a guide, go you! I agree, I think it would be a bit of a scary venture, but surely there are some exciting discovers awaiting you on the new land... I wonder what you'll see!
The Waka Ama race would totally be a great opportunity to challenge yourself and get fit! It would be fun to join a club with family and friends and give it a go together - it would definitely build your teamwork skills.
I look forward to reading more of your blog as you complete the activities, keep it up!
