Activity 2: The Great Taupo Cycle Challenge

For the Great Taupo Cycle challenge: I would take my dad, Nick because he is good at cooking, so  I can have yummy snacks as I ride. Dad is also good at fixing bikes so he'd be there to help if I popped a tyre or my chain came off. I would also take my cousins, Ben and Thomas from England, because Ben has been in triathlons. Ben might be able to share his experiences in racing and Thomas can come because he is funny and good company. I am not going to take my sister or my mum. I think they might embarrass me by cheering too loudly.

Week 2 Day 2 Fabulous fauna

Activity 1 Weaving a tall tail

I would like to try weaving because
I would be learning a new skill.
I would make a flax rope or fish.
I would use my flax rope to make a pulley
to lower things up and down from my treehouse.

Week 2 Day 3 First you sea me and now you don’t

Activity 1 - Night Owls
There  are 4 people in my family and two of them
are early risers and two aren't.
Dad and I are the early risers, Mum and Pip are the night owls.
Our cat, Nibbler is a 23 out of 24 hours a day sleeper
or 23/7 sleeper (which means 23 hours a day, 7 days a week)
and the rest of the time she just meows for food,
but we still love her!

Fishy Fact 1:
The oldest known fish in the world
is a 65 year old Australian lungfish FALSE

My mum read out the facts first, and Pippa (my sister)

I think I got Fact 2 wrong.

Day 4 More than meets the eye

Activity 3 Salt and Pepper

I decided to build my hotel in a tree, out of wood.
10 people can stay at my hotel, not counting the staff.
It has great views and great reviews! You can the hear the wind
whistling through the branches and see tuis drinking nectar
and fantails looking for bugs.

Day 2 Activity 3 Weird and wonderful

Keeping my cactus alive!

3 ml x 365 days = 1095 ml

or 365+365+365=1095 ml

If it was a leap year you have to add 3 more ml
so the total would  be 1098 ml.

Activity 2 North and South

I live in Auckland and it is a beautiful place.
One of my favourite places in Auckland is the beach.
I like a beautiful sandy beach, that is good for both swimming and surfing.
I like to go to both Pt Chev and Cheltenham beach.
In Auckland you can get black and gold sand  beaches. Don’t stand still on a
black sand beach because it is VERY hot when the sun has been shining on it!

My favourite beaches are the golden sandy beaches, but I still have heaps of
fun on the West Coast black sand beaches.
