Camping

One day my family decided to go camping. We packed the truck and set out on the road. It was difficult to find the campsite because it was concealed from the road. We set up camp and went for a walk that's when we saw an absurd tent. The tent was made of metal and it was all rusty and it had some holes in it. There was a small kid playing outside the metal tent and he looked lonely so I went over to play tag with him. We played for a while then he had to go in the metal tent for lunch. I was a bit nervous because I couldn't quite remember where my tent was. I ran around the park looking for my family. Sundly I ran around a bend and ran into the big tent that my mom and dad where in. I ran inside and asked mum were she and dad had been? They went back to the tent to make lunch. It was not the best lunch because we did not have a stove to cook on so we had to use the small cooker. After lunch I went back to play with the little kid that I was playing with before. I saw that they had left and I went back home mourned the loss of my only friend. For the rest of the weekend I was sad and all I did was eat, sleep and play video games all day.

Matariki

Yesterday Glen Innes School celebrated Matariki and we also had a music section and then we had a art display on where every class had to do some art. My class was painting on tiles.We invited a different school to have a hangi with us. I was in the porfiry group and we greeted them as they came in the gate.We sat down and we started to have our lunch.

Botanic gardens

On Thursday Room 10 6 and 11 went to the Botanic gardens to learn about plants. When we got there we had some morning tea and then we went to the ederbil gardens to learn what goes into our food.

Gardening is awesome

Gardening is awesome

Yesterday Room 11  went outside and started doing a job.

The job was to shovel some bark out of a big pile and move to another smaller box so some builders could move the big box somewhere new. We would move the bark to the front of the box then another person would move the bark into a container and then someone would move the container to the small box. The people carrying the boxes had a great idea and put the

containers on the scooters that they ride to school. When we got tired we would switch jobs with another person and then I would do there job until they got tired and switched back.

It was a lot of fun and I really want to finish the job soon.
