Activity 1
The Dawn of Television
My favourite TV programme is Danger Mouse. It is on Prime. Danger Mouse is a mouse and a secret agent. He has an assistant Penfold (a hamster). The villains in the programme are Baron Silas Greenback (a frog) and his pet caterpilliar. Greenback's assistant is Stiletto Mafiosa, who is a black crow. Danger Mouse's job is stop the villains from destroying the world. He has a flying car that can turn into a boat to help him catch the bad guys.
Activity 2
Rock 'n' Roll
Seven thousand people (mostly young women) were waiting to see The Beatles when their plane landed in Wellington.
The band were taken into the hotel secretly and taken straight up to the third floor balcony ,so fans wouldn't run into the hotel.
Despite the fuss when The Beatles arrived, two band members went off to see family that lived in New Zealand.

Hey there Toby, my name is Billy and I am from the Summer Learning Journey programme. It's great to see that you've completed so many activities this summer, well done!
I've never heard of Danger Mouse but after reading your description of the show, I might have to check it out. When I was younger I used to really like this cartoon version of X-Men. It was awesome. Otherwise I would watch Angry Beavers, Fairly Oddparents, Spongebob etc. Have you heard of any of those?
Thanks for completing activity two as well. I really like The Beatles, they're a cool band with loads of great songs. Have you heard any of their music?
It sounds like such a hectic tour when they came to New Zealand. Apparently they had to stop playing live shows because people (mostly young women) were screaming so loud that they couldn't hear their instruments.
Thanks, Billy
